14 Week Organization Challenge

I have stumbled upon a new favorite blog!  A Bowl Full of Lemons is an organization blog.  Last September she hosted a 14 Day Home Organization 101 "class"  I am WAY late.  But I still wanted to do it.  So I will!  I hope some of you will join me, or at least keep commenting on my posts so I can stay motivated.

Here is a list of the weeks and what you have to do.

.:14 Week:.
Home Organization Challenge
(Original Idea from Bowl Full of Lemons)

Week 1: Kitchen.
Week 2: Garage/Shed
Week 3: Pantry
Week 4: Office/Craft Room
Week 5: Laundry Room.
Week 6: Master Bedroom.
Week 7: Linen Closet
Week 8: Dining Room
Week 9: Kids Closet (His/Hers Closet)
Week 10: Living Room
Week 11: Playroom (Bonus room)
Week 12: Bathroom(s)
Week 13: Master Closets (all other closets)
Week 14: Mudroom/Entryway.

I don’t have a few of these rooms so I adjusted slightly.  I changed Dining Room to a Bonus Room (one of my guest rooms) and I also changed Kids Closets into our his/hers closets.  So that meant I had to change week 13 to all other closets. I also don’t have kids to play in a playroom (maybe one day) so I changed that to bonus room too.

I'll keep you updated

My Goal for Our New Home

ORGANIZATION!!!  That is my biggest goal.  I love walking into houses where there is a place for everything and everything is in its place.  Makes life less stressful and allows for WAY MORE FUN!

I found this blog. and loved her Home Organization 101 Challenge. I decided that even though her challenge was last September.  I could start it the week we move into our house. (March 10-June 22) It's a 14 week challenge.  So... I went to her site, joined her group on facebook.  and Grabbed her button

- See more at: http://www.abowlfulloflemons.net/2012/09/home-organization-101-week-3-pantry.html#sthash.EQAH0R4H.dpuf

Okay, whatever.  I hope that link works.
I'm going to need all of your help to get this done.  Motivate me.  Message me on facebook, e-mail me, or leave a comment so that I can stay motivated.  It would help even more if some of you would do it with me!!!  Then link me to your blog so I can be motivated by your success!

I hope you'll join me.  I'm working on making some printables that might make it easier.

Thanks guys!

Oscars 2013: The Best and Worst of the Night

It's what everyone is talking about at the Water Cooler today.  THE OSCARS.

I didn't get to watch much of it because I had to work at Walmart.  But I did catch the end and I have spent all day streaming the show.  I haven't finished so I will just remark on what I have watched.

Best of the evening.
When Jennifer Lawrence gracefully caught herself falling up the stairs and Hugh Jackman was the only one that got up to help her.

Look at Hugh-ey, getting up and being the hero!  Still even though she fell Jennifer was the embodiment of a winner.  She is gorgeous and so was her Dior gown.  and she recovered soo well. "I know you are all standing because I fell.  I'm really embarrassed."  She's adorable.

That brings us to the next item of business.

BEST DRESSED {according to me}

Amanda Seyfried: Gorgeous Alexander McQueen Dress. (LOVE)

Octavia Spencer: Simply BEAUTIFUL Tadashi Shoji dress.  This is so gorgeous!

Jennifer Lawrence.  I love this girl and she is WEARING this Dior Dress right!
Oh Jen, you always do it sooo right.
I'm loving Jennifer Aniston in this sexy red Valentino dress.

Call me crazy but Naomi Watts' Armani Prive gown was spectacular. I love the cutout!
Showed some skin without being skanky (unlike Brandi Glanville, more on that later)

Normally, I wouldn't love this Canary Yellow Versache gown.
But on Jane Fonda.  I love it.
Amy Adams made a few worst dress lists.  The worst calling her a Dust mop.
But I think her Grey Oscar de la Renta was elegant and SUPER classy!

Kelly Osbourne made a lot of WORST dressed lists too in this
Tony Ward Couture Dress. But I LOVED it!!!
Kristen Chenoweth looked like a dream in this sheer black and silver
I couldn't find a designer. But she is WOW!

Oh Sally Fields, Mary Todd Lincoln, whatever you want us to call you.
You are grace! Thank you for showing that you don't have to show sooo much skin
to be so beautiful!  This Valentino dress made worst dressed on a couple of lists but this
was DEFINITELY one of my favorites of the evening.  I'll have two!!
Channing Tatum and his wife are soo cute, so they made the list.

Bradley Cooper made my list cause he's hot!  And he took his mom as his date
AWW!

That concludes best dressed. Moving on to the less prestigious award
{WORST DRESSED!}
Reese my darling.  I love you, you usually have SUCH great fashion sense
but this Louis Vitton dress is nasty.  It makes her hips look SO big! :( Sorry darling

I HATE to do this because I love Adele SO much.
But this Jenny Packham dress isn't doing much for her.
I was hoping for something a little more "WOW"

Anne. My darling Anne.  This Prada gown is bad.  first of all. NIPPLES!
Second.  EEW!  The dress she wore when the Les Mis cast performed was gorgeous.
This one... Not so much.

Halle Berry. Shame on you, this is the Academy Awards.
Not the premiere of Edward Scizzorhands.

Jennifer Garner.  you look like a bird. Love you though!
My favorite actress right now is this doll right here. But this knit looking
pajama dress is not so great Melissa!

Odd for a man to make worst dressed. Especially a man
as handsome as Chris Pine.  This tux is Hideous!
Kristen Stewart.  Oh honey.  This dress looks like a fluffy curtain.
Also.  You look sooo uncomfortable in your skin.
Get some confidence and come back next year.

AND THE ABSOLUTELY WORST DRESSED OF THE EVENING....

*****************
***********
*****************

Brandi Glanville.  There is sooo much wrong with this dress.  First two things.  Direct your attention to the two things coming out of the dress!!! NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR NIPPLES Darling.  and Two.. Why are YOU even at the Oscars.  You're a REAL HOUSEWIFE.. That requires NO talent.  Just Skankiness.. You're gross and your dress is gross.  Go Home.

I love Sandra Bullock, and I haven't mentioned her. Usually she is one of the BEST dressed at every occasion.  This time, not so much. It wasn't worst dressed worthy.  But certainly not best dressed either.
Just a bit too sheer and lacy for me.

Video of the Month!

Bad Blogger, Lots To Tell

Lets face it.  I am a BAD blogger.  I cannot stay on top of things!!

So I have a lot to tell you since my last post!!

1.  I quit Key Research.  I hated it.  Worst. Job. Ever.  I couldn't stand sitting there for 8 hours a day.  Staring at a computer, getting hung up on, and talking to answering machines and/or rude people all day. I couldn't do it.  Oh and PLUS!!! You had to RAISE YOUR FREAKING HAND to go to the bathroom.  I'm an adult, and if I need to pee.  I shouldn't have to ask permission.

Yeah... it wasn't for me.

2. I started in the Deli at Walmart.  I know, most of you are thinking.  And you're OKAY with that? Don't belittle me.  I like it there, the people I work with are (MOSTLY) really great.  And we all have fun together (mostly). I mean I probably won't work at Wal*Mart forever.  But for now, its good.  I love in Sanpete, this is about the best employment opportunity I have :).  I'm pleased with it.  PLUS. I work with my brother.  That's a good time.

3. We bought a house!!! We haven't closed, but we are just waiting for all the paperwork.  We are supposed to close sometime the first week of March woo!! New HOUSE!!!

Now I wish someone would come pack up my house for me.  BOO MOVING!!! YAY NEW HOUSE!!

I found lots of tips ;) to help out though.

Cats make me laugh... A LOT, maybe we will get a cat??  Maybe

Okay now we are moving on to things that make me laugh out loud in the library.

I wish I owned this cat.

Seriously.  Laugh its good for you.  I'll try to blog again tomorrow :)

Passionate, Loving, Persistent.

*{DISCLAIMER}* This post nay get a little "ranty" if you are offended... Sorry I'm not sorry :)  Keep reading.

Why the title?  Cause those are three words that I would use to describe myself.  There are a few things that I feel VERY passionately about, on these things.  You REALLY don't want to mess with those things.

Those things are:
1. My Family.
2. Breast Cancer.
3. My Family.

Mix those things together and you have a WHOLE mess on your hands. I recently received one of those stupid facebook messages that always go around this time of year. "Post this country if your birthday is in this month, and then the date (23) is the number of months" or some such nonsense.  and then it says "Shh Don't tell the boys... it will spread awareness for breast cancer."

Well I was fed up with this message because A. If you can't tell anyone what the message is for, then it is not really spreading awareness right? B. How does posting "I'm going to Germany for 23 Months spread Breast Cancer awareness? and C. Boys can get breast cancer too. So keeping them out of the loop is excluding people who can be affected.  I posted a status about it.

Kids. Those silly messages that are going around "I'm going to Germany for 23 Months." They're silly. They don't show awareness for breast cancer. They are just obnoxious. Wanna do some good? Participate in a Breast Cancer Fundraiser. Contact Susan G. Komen for the cure and see what you can do there. Run a race for the Komen foundation. Donate to a cancer research center. THOSE things make a difference. Posting a nonsense status about a nonsense vacation doesn't do ANYTHING.

Thats all.

Love you all, Just had to vent

Surprise?! People got pissed.  Cause some people are looking for a fight.

Well like I said, I am passionate about a few things in life.  If you know me, you know that my Mom had breast cancer a few years ago.  And you may also know that it was the hardest time on my entire life.  To see my best friend and hero struggle like that was absolutely horrid.

I have done a lot in the last 4 years to spread breast cancer awareness and help the awareness/cure cause as much as I could.  I had a yardsale and donated 100% of the proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. I have also participated in multiple Susan G. Komen Race for the Cures. as well as other cancer foundations like Relay for Life.

This, I am so passionate about.

For someone (who shall remain anonymous-because I'm not a bitch) to tell me on facebook that maybe some if us you know like to do that kind of stuff. it's pretty rude to just post stuff like that on face book. I did it and IM sorry I don't have time to do fundraisers, but seeing how my grandma got breast cancer and I'll most Likly have it yeah IM going to post something about it

Just don't.  Just don't post that.  Just let me say that I think its stupid.  Just keep scrolling, cause if you don't.  I GET PISSED.  and let me tell you, I can outsmart, and outspeak you.

So.  Before you repost these stupid games.  Just don't.  Don't believe me?

I researched (because I don't like to be wrong) it and what do you know, people who currently have Breast Cancer, as well as survivors think these posts are dumb.

this post is from a person who has stage 4 breast cancer.  The title?  Breast Cancer is NOT a facebook game.  I agree.

So I'll leave you with this.
This is what I told anon. after they posted the last comment.:

Then post Check Yourself  Early detection is the key. My Mom had breast cancer as well and I am an a Breast Cancer Awareness Advocate to the max. There are other ways to show that you are aware, and to spread awareness. Posting a bogus status about a mysterious vacation doesn't show awareness. Unless you know about the message. It is just a silly status. It doesn't help anyone at all. Thanks for your time.

Don't forget to follow ;)

Some Tips, and a Review.

Dear friends.

I am terrible at routines.  Seriously, I can't do routines.  I'm not talking about dance, I'm talking about life.  I don't get up at the same time everyday.  I don't have a specific go-to-bed routine. I don't have a specific routine for anything.  I'm trying to fix that. I was doing pretty good at blogging every weekday.. Until like two days ago...

So... This blog post will make up for those two lost days.

I couldn't think of anything to blog about... so I googled it (welcome to the digital native era) (Digital Native: Noun. A creative term used by my Social Media Marketing professor to mean, we were born into technology, and it is a part of us. Synonym: Teenager. Antonym: My mom. See Digital Immigrant.)

{The Tips}

I found this article. It really helped me.  So.. check it out.

Anyway, I decided on the review topic for today's blog post.

{The Review}

Today, I am going to review a movie that I saw this last weekend that I have been waiting to see since Christmas.

{Les Miserables}

This is the trailer.

If you haven't seen this movie.  GO BUY A TICKET RIGHT NOW!

It was fantastic... No, not fantastic.  It was beyond explanation. It was amazing.  I've seen several stage productions of this show.  I've read the book. I've watched the 1998 version-see film clip below- (and hated it) and I was very ready to be thoroughly disappointed.   I had read several reviews that said that Russell Crowe was horrid.  But I went because I LOVE Les Mis.

The movie started and with the opening titles and the prisoners performance of Look Down... I was hooked, wide eyed, and awestruck.

This movie is a must see.

If you aren't familiar with the story, I'll fill you in.

Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) is a man who was imprisoned for 20 years for stealing a loaf of bread (yeah, talk about cruel and unusual punishment). When he gets out on parole, he knows he will never live a normal life because he will always be a "prisoner." He knows his jailer Javert (Russell Crowe) will be sure that the rest of his life, he is a criminal. He comes to a town where a priest takes him in and feeds him and gives him a place to stay.  Jean Valjean steals the man's silver. Leaving only the candlesticks behind.  When the police catch him and bring his to the priest to confess.  The priest says that he gave Jean Valjean the silver but he forgot to take the candlesticks.  All the priest asked for in return was that Jean Valjean use the silver to make a better life for himself.  He rips up his parole papers and starts anew.  (Illegal, yes, the right thing.. of course!).  He becomes the Mayor of a town.  This is where Fantine (Anne Hathaway) comes in, she has a daughter, Cosette (Amanda Seyfried), that she left with an inn keeper and his wife so she could go work so that her daughter could have a life.  At first Fantine works in a factory, then a dumb lady turns her into the foreman.  The foreman fires her.  (The mayor didn't save her.) So she has to sell her hair (which was GORGEOUS!!)  and turns to prostitution to feed her daughter.  She gets VERY sick and Jean Valjean learns about her, and tries to help her.  That was until Javert discovered that the Mayor was indeed the escaped convict Jean Valjean.  Javert vows to bring Valjean down.  Valjean insists to Fantine that he will watch out for Cosette and she will never have to want for a thing in her life.  He escapes from the town after Fantine dies, and goes to find where Cosette is living.

Les Misérables (2012), a brilliant movie by Tom Hooper. The cast was crazy good, but I think Anne Hathaway outshone everyone with her ''I Dreamed a Dream'' performance.
Anne Hathaway as Fantine singing "I Dreamed a Dream"

She is staying with Thenardier (Sacha Baron Cohen) and Madame Thenardier (Helen Bonham Carter) and their daughter Eponine (Samantha Barks).  They steal all the money that Fantine was sending for Cosette.  So Valjean pays them off and takes Cosette and makes her his own daughter and takes excellent care of her.  They start a new life.  They live in peace until one day, the French Revolution was starting to become a thing.  Cosette catches the eye of a handsome rebel, Marius (Eddie Redmayne).  Its love at first sight.  Except that Javert was also at the square and he thought he recognized Valjean.  Thenardier also recognizes him and vows to catch him and take what (they think) is theirs.

‎"There is a castle on a cloud, I like to go there in my sleep" - Isabelle Allen as young Cosette in Les Misérables. wahh. crying already.
Young Cosette (super cute) singing Castle on a Cloud

Jean Valjean and Young Cosette
Eponine was in love with Marius but she got friend-zoned.  She decided she was okay with Cosette and Marius being in love... but like any normal girl would do, she tucked her hair in a hat and pretended to be a boy and joined the revolution.
Marius and Eponine singing "Fall of Rain"

Jean Valjean finds out that someone has caught onto him, so he tells Cosette they need to leave.  Cosette is heart broken to leave Marius.  That night (conveniently) the French Revolution starts, and Marius sends Gavroche (Daniel Huttlestone)--CUTEST LITTLE BOY EVER-- to deliver a letter to Cosette but Jean Valjean gets it and reads that Marius is in love with Cosette, he is a little sad (as would be any dad) but decides he won't be around forever so Cosette would need someone to take care of her after he died.  So he goes down to the revolution to give Marius his permission.  I won't tell you the exact details of this part cause it would ruin it.  But Marius gets hurt and Jean Valjean has to rescue him.  Carries him through the sewers etc. Anyway.. stuff happens....

Cosette and Marius singing "Heart Full of Love"

I can't give away the ending but I'll add this song because it was great.

I hope I didn't giveaway too much.
It was hard to explain

It was great!  I give this movie

10 STARS!!!

Now I will present you with some awesome Memes about les mis

Innovations and the Future

Turns out the Jetson's weren't far off about the future.  (Well except for the flying cars, I'm sure we'll get there.)

When I saw the movie Iron Man, I thought two things. 1. ROBERT DOWNEY JR. Is a super hunk. and 2. His computers are AWESOME!
Doesn't get cooler than this...

Except that it DOES get cooler than that because now his "glass screens" of the future.  ARE HERE

I don't know if you've seen this video on YouTube. But we watched it today in my Social Media Marketing class because we are all about the future is now in that class.

Take a minute and watch this video. It will CHANGE your life.
